# Workbook guide

Make a copy before experimenting. These examples use synthetic CAD data. They contain formulas but no VBA macros, connections, account credentials or scheduled jobs. Python is only needed to regenerate source builds, not to use the delivered XLSX files.

## Sales management

Open Dashboard and choose month and channel. Replace values only in green cells on Sales inputs, A6:I2005. Clear the old input values first when replacing a dataset. Keep headers and calculated columns J:M. Dates must be actual Excel dates; monetary inputs are whole cents. Each row represents one unique single-product order. Input issues must be zero before using totals.

This example supports April through September 2026 and 2,000 order rows. Product charts use the 12 original SKUs. New periods, products, channels or multiple line items per order require an explicit extension of the relevant lists/formulas. A client build must configure these before handoff; this is not an unrestricted template.

## Inventory planner

Update green cells A6:L105 on Stock inputs. Keep calculated columns M:T. One unique SKU per row, up to 100 rows. Clear all obsolete input cells when replacing records. Use nonnegative whole units, days and cents; pack size must be positive. Review days defaults to 14. Resolve all Input issues before using the planner. Filter the input worksheet to review recommendations.

Dashboard metrics cover valid rows in the 100 input slots. Its chart displays the first 12 demo rows only. The rules use a 30-day demand average, not a seasonal forecast. Inbound is assumed usable within the planning horizon; inspect delivery dates before ordering. The file never places purchases or updates any order system.

## Ownership and compatibility

Sheet protection prevents casual formula edits and has no password. It is not security. A knowledgeable owner can unprotect sheets, but should retest changes. Green input cells remain editable. Data validation can be bypassed by paste, so formula-based input checks are also supplied.

Tested using installed Windows Excel version 16.0. Twenty-two checks cover totals, filters, input changes, duplicates, zero demand, invalid pack size and pasted text. Other Excel versions, LibreOffice and Google Sheets are unverified. Save and reopen your working copy after checking totals. The browser dashboard is an independent presentation and does not read workbook changes.
